3A - The Fastest Ball Challenge

The main theory of this challenge is to determine the angle of inclination (theta) for which the time of travel across the horizontal track will be least. The concepts of conservation of energy, kinetic and potential energy must be understood to undergo the challenge. This challenge is mostly Physics-based, therefore there is a lot of calculations to be done. 

This is an example of what we did during the challenge. This is a short video of our seniors doing the fastest ball challenge.

3B - Extraction of Caffeine from Beverages

The main concept of this experiment is to learn about the 3 techniques:
- Büchner filtration
- Solvent extraction
- Distillation using a rotary evaporator

And also learn about how the 3 techniques are used in the process of extracting the caffeine.

The colour of the caffeine powder was a little bit greenish but the correct colour of the caffeine when it is in its pure form is white.

 This is the compound and the formula for caffeine is C8H10N4O2
